Quietly and Peacefully God called Wilma from this life to her eternal rest on February 15th, 2022.  Wilma Deloris Carter was Born in Washington DC on August 3,1939. She was the oldest girl of Thirteen born to the late Marjorie and Willie Smith.
Wilma obtained her education within Washington D.C. Public School System. She had a heart to help so she furthered her education and attended D.C. Village where she received her Nursing Degree. Her undenying love she had for children led her to become a D.C. Public School Crossing Guard, along with running her very own daycare.

She Loved her family and her children as well as a good party! Wherever the "Electric Slide" was playing you were sure to find Wilma on the floor. She loved playing cards Pitty Pat and Tunk, she enjoyed listening to Oldie But Goodies on Saturday Morning you could hear the sounds of WPFW 89.3. She loved eating crabs and having a good time.

Wilma was preceded in death by her late husband Raymond Carter, her Sisters Denise and Althea, along with her Brothers, Maurice, Preston, Floyd and Gilbert, her grandchildren Tayvon and Braylen, her Best Friends, Annie Mae Fuller and Bertha Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories with her children, Delonte Myers, Donna Myers- Fuller (Kelvin), Michael Carter, Patricia Purvis (Derrick) and Keisa Scott (Joshua), her grandchildren, Vernethia Fuller, Tonya Joyner (Ceajay), Andre Myers (Yuiry), Shantea Fuller, Brandon Myers, Darrius Purvis, Michelle Carter-Moore, Darryle McNeill, Zakiyah Wilson, and Little Derrick, her great grandchildren, Vontayvia Fuller, Jeremiah Little, and Brielle Joyner, her Aunts Audrey Thomas and Doris Romeo, her sisters and brothers Constance (Connie) Owens, Brenda Sledge, Carlton Smith, Wayne Smith (Sadie), Kevin Smith (Daisy), Eric Smith (Neada), her Best Friend Maxine Jordan and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
