Virginia E. Adair

Quietly and peacefully on Sunday September 26, 2021, God called his servant Virginia E. Adair home to take her rest.  Virginia was born February 15, 1943 in Washington D.C. to Samuel E. and Olivia H. Adair.  Virginia affectionately known as Fugi.  was a fun and loving child.  Fugi was educated in the DC public school system.  Early in life, Fugi was baptized at Our Lady Queen of Peace in SE Wash DC and became a servant of the Lord. Later,  Fugi joined St. Bernadine Catholic Church in Suitland MD.  Fugi Loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church.

In 1960 Fugi Met and later married the love of her life Joseph Slyvester Jackson, and to this union six wonderful children were born   Sons: Ronald Burgess, Michael Jackson, Tony Jackson, and Derwin Jackson;  Daughters: Debora Jackson Noisette and Joyce Jackson,  

   Fugi was a very kind hearted person always willing to help others, and with this passion for helping others, it led Fugi to enjoy a career in the Home Health Nursing Care Industry.  Fugi had a beautiful infectious smile that always brought joy to all she encountered.  Fugi enjoyed traveling and the outdoors being near the water. Fugi also enjoyed shopping, cooking, watching her soap operas, Bold and the Beautiful and Young and the Restless, cleaning time, going to the casino, and playing her favorite number in the lottery #956.  Fugi loved to ride in comfort and style so the Cadillac, was her car of choice.  But out of all the things that Fugi loved, her greatest love was her family,  and spending time with her family and friends was the greatest joy in Fugi’s life.  And let’s not leave out her little dog Skippy and her little bird Polly.  Fugi had a huge heart and she never met a stranger. She loved her family and friends, and touched so many lives in one way or another.  Words cannot express how much we all love her and how deeply she will be missed. 

Fugi was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Slyvester Jackson, father, Samuel E. Adair   and her sister, Judy Anne Brown Adair.  Fugi leaves to cherish her loving memory, her mother Olivia Lindsey and Sons, Ronald Burgess, Michael Jackson, Tony Jackson, and Derwin Jackson.  Daughters, Debora Jackson Noisette, Joyce Jackson, and her Adopted daughter Sherika Rice. Over 20 grandchildren  and greatgrandchildren  Adopted brother Clifford Johnson, Step daughter Melvina Ford, Cousin, Yvonne Adair Austin, and a host of other loving cousins, relatives, and friends. We will all cherish the stories, the smile, the laughs, the memories, and the love of Fugi.
