Shamatto Clarke Obituary

Shamatto Abdullah was born on February 22nd, 1982, in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He was the son of Arline Drummond, Paul Clarke, and Collin Scott. Shamatto graduated from Parkdale High School, class of 2001. He served in the US Army, at Fort Campbell providing vital service and bravery during the Iraq War. After the war he continued being a contributing member of society by working with the Department of Defense.

Shamatto was quiet and gentle at heart. He was a warm armrest for weary souls. He was kind and soft spoken and always had time to help others, lift their spirits and help problem solve. His hobbies included reading comic books, going to the gym, watching Game of Thrones, listening to 90’s music and maintaining a robust shoe collection, and drawing. He also loved to mentor his little brother through exercise and driving lessons. He would do anything for his mother and siblings.

He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents James and Lena Drummond, his Aunt Hayden, his Uncle Albert, his Uncle Denver, and his beloved paternal grandparents, Genice Robinson-Clarke and Frank Lloyd Clarke.

He is survived by his mother Arline, his father’s Paul and Collin, and his loving siblings, Garcia, Shanika, and Collin Jr., his darling nieces Destiny Davis and Niery Drayton.  In addition, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom loved him dearly.

Shamatto was blessed with a large and loving family, He is missed dearly by his family and friends, who have solace knowing he is resting in the hands of God.
