Quietly and peacefully on Wednesday Oct 28,2020, God called his servant Sandra Leftwich home to take her rest. Sandra was born June 20,1956 in Washington DC to the late John L. and Sadye B. Leftwhich.
Sandra was a fun and loving child who enjoyed dance and piano lessons. Sandra was educated in the DC public school system. Early in life, Sandra was baptized and became a servant of the Lord. Later, Sandra joined St’ Phillips Baptist Church. Sandra enjoyed attending church, being involved in church functions, and sing on the church choir.
Sandra was a very kind hearted person always willing to help others, and with this passion for helping others, it led Sandra to enjoyed a career in the nursing care industry.
Sandra had a beautiful infectious smile, that always brought joy to all she encountered. Sandra enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. But the greatest joy in Sandra’s life, were her two sons Sean and Terrence; and her three grandkids Angel, Da’Maya, and Hunter. And let’s not leave out the love of her life John Lee.
Sandra had a huge heart and she never met a stranger. She loved her family and friends, and touched so many lives in one way or another. Words cannot express how much we all love her and how deeply she will be missed.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents John and Sadye Leftwhich.
Sandra leaves to cherish her loving memory her partner in love John Lee, two sons Sean and Terrence Leftwhich; three grandchildren Angel, Da’Maya, and Hunter; one brother Bernard Leftwhich; three first cousins Tony Leftwhich, Stephanie Gregory, and S. T. Robinson; and a host of other loving cousins, relatives, and friends.
We will all cherish the stories, the smile, the laughs and the love of Sandra.
