June 7, 1975 ~ January 7, 2022 (age 46)

Obituary

Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Roy Anthony Smith, affectionately known as “Tony’ was born June 7, 1975 in Washington DC to the union of the late Roy Smith Jr (Lil Pat) and Brenda Lampkins.  From this union two children were born, with Roy being the youngest.

Roy attended Washington DC Public Schools throughout his childhood and later, successfully received his GED.   As a youth, Roy was adventurous and always had a thrill for life, he loved to be the life of the party and had a smile that could light up any room.  Those close to Roy knew his love for his neighborhood and his pride in being a real 1,000 legend. Roy loved to shower his family with tremendous love and affection. He enjoyed cooking, being a provider and rapping along to every Juvenile song, coining himself the name of “Juve”.

Roy’s proudest accomplishment was being a father, he would speak of his daughters every chance he was given. He was a man of immense resilience and strength.  Along with completing many different courses and maintaining several skills, he recently received his CDL and gained employment at Monumental Concrete.  Roy was ecstatic to be able to provide for his family.  His dream was to take big family trips and to be the best father he could be, Roy’ Ale in just a short time brought so much light into his life.

Let's keep Roy's spirit and memory alive, let's smile and rejoice in the memories he left us all with and all of his crazy antics we have to laugh about for years to come.

Roy is preceded in death by his late father Roy Smith Jr and grandmother Doris Jackson. His legacy and memory will be carried on by his loving and devoted mother Brenda Lampkins, his four siblings; brother and best friend Ronnell Smith and three sisters Latione Smith, Selema and Samira Jenkins. His children Ciarra, Chardee’ and Roy’Ale (Tytus) and granddaughter Lin Elias.  He also leaves behind four nieces, three nephews and a host of dedicated family, friends and special friend Jamee Wade.
