Jannie Bella Johnson Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and faithful friend was suddenly called home on Monday, November 22, 2021 to be with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ {Yahushua}
Jannie’s life began April 21, 1945, in Columbia South Caroline, the daughter of Olin and Margaret Dubard who proceeded her. She was one of eight siblings which at one time or other resided in the Washington DC area all together.
Jannie received her education in the District of Columbia Public School system. She came into the work force as a food dietician at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, then Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Washington DC. Her last employment was with Bethesda Naval Hospital Center in Bethesda Maryland, where she retired.
Jannie was united in marriage to Gregory Johnson in June 15, 1987 for over 34 years, until her last days at their residence in Bowie Maryland.
Jannie’s personality to most, was a no-nonsense approach to life’s bumps in the road. In her past time, she enjoyed traveling on luxury cruise ship lines and vacationing in Caribbean resorts. She enjoyed trying different food cuisine and watching her day time TV soap operas, along with spoiling her faithful dog, Dallas. Jannie thoroughly enjoyed traveling to R&B soul concerts with her husband and continuously listening to her favorite artist Aretha Franklin songs. (A Natural Woman & RESPECT) Even though Jannie never belonged to a church, she felt something was still missing in her life and reached out to Latter-Day Saints of Jesus Christ to be baptized. For those in her life may have never seen her publicly pray, but she gave everyone a sense that there was a strong present that the holy spirit gave guidance to her throughout her life.
Jannie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Gregory: two sons John and Craig Nicholson, along with two grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends
