Obituary

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” Mark 5:34 (NLT)

On August 21, 2022, our beloved Briana Michelle was called home.

Briana Michelle Johnson was born on May 10, 1993 to Kim Johnson and Kevin Jackson. She was the youngest of three siblings and the second to the youngest of what her grandmother (Dea) called the “A Team” - the eldest four grandchildren.

Briana was affectionately referred to as “Hope”.  She pushed through life fiercely and sought good in all that she faced. Briana accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden.

She received her education in Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated from Wise High School in June 2011. She was employed with The Living Hope non-profit organization, where she worked as an administrative assistant. Prior to her most recent job, Briana had experience in many areas including transportation, food services, and retail.

Bria, as most of her family and friends called her, was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. She could easily light up a room with her beautiful smile and vibrant personality. Bria loved being with her family and absolutely loved family gatherings.  She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.  GO DALLAS!  As a child, Briana loved being a Kettering Cougar Cheerleader with hopes of seeing her beloved daughter, Eternity, follow in her footsteps. In addition, Briana loved reading and as she matured her love for reading fueled a passion for writing. She enjoyed writing poetry and autobiographies. To gain inspiration for her writing, she surrounded herself with loving, insightful, and free spirited people. Briana’s heart and smile gave all who came in contact with her a taste of pure love.

Briana leaves to cherish her memory: her parents Kim Johnson McDonald (Charles) and Kevin Jackson (Cindy); her beloved daughter Eternity Hope Williams; Eternity’s father Edward William III; her two sisters, Brittney Kline (Jason) and Bianca Clarke (Marvin); maternal grandparents Russell and Brenda Taylor; paternal grandmother Rose Butler; maternal aunt Cindy Martin (Reggie); paternal uncle Keith Laury (Trina); great aunt and uncle Pastor and First Lady James Clarke; her loving nephews and nieces Gabriel, Xavion, Elijah, Xalyn, Julian, Xalah, and Xaviere; cousins Tori, Tayler, Toni, and Tilay; her best friends La’Tyra, Victoria, Ryean, Jasmine and Briana, Godmother Sandra Williams, and a host of cousins and friends.
