William Edward Wilson Sr. affectionately known as Cricket was born on February 19, 1962 in Washington, DC to the late Floyd B. and Ann E. Wilson.  Cricket was called to his eternal rest on February 27th, 2019.

Cricket received his early education at Holy Comforter St. Cyprian Catholic School.  From there he went on to work for the Australian Embassy.  He later went back to school and attended Ballou S.T.A.Y. where he graduated and received his high school diploma.

Cricket found his soulmate of 37 years, Kelley Williams. In which they just recently celebrated 18 years of marriage.  They had three children together, LaTosha Wilson, William Wilson, Jr. and DeVaugh Wilson.   Four grandchildren Xaiver , William III, the Twins, DeVaugh Jr. and Jeyani

Cricket held multiple jobs. But his job of the last 14 years was with D.D.O.T., where he enjoyed working until the time of his death.  Cricket was most known for his kind spirit and wonderful personality; He could hold a conversation with anyone. Cricket enjoyed going to church and participated in the Outreach program at Assumption Catholic Church.

Cricket was a family man; His biggest joy was being around his family.  He loved to cook on the grill, especially at family cookouts. Cricket enjoyed gatherings with family and friends; He loved to party and listen to Go-Go music and have a good time.  Cricket was a Redskins fan.  Also, Cricket was a sharp dresser and one of the nicest people you ever wanted to meet.  Cricket will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Cricket leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories his beloved wife Kelly S Wilson; Three children; LaTosha Wilson, William Wilson Jr., and DeVaugh Wilson.  Four grandchildren; Xaiver Wilson, William Wilson III, DeVaugh Wilson Jr., and Jeyani; One sister Joan Wilson; Two Brothers; Floyd B. Wilson Jr. and Ronald Wilson; One Aunt, Mary McPherson; One Uncle James Edelin; Nieces; Lizzy, Myisha, Aisha, Ashley, Diamond and Sapphire; Nephews; Duane and Binks;  Special friends; Gregory and Yvonne Long, Carol Sauders,  Calvin and Balencia Sutton, the UPO and the G street family; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Cricket was pre deceased by two Aunts Margaret Norman and Delores Gorham; two Uncles Charles and Thomas Edelin; one nephew, Antoine; and two brother-in-law's Bobby and Kevin Williams.
