IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phillip A.
Hobbs
January 27, 1968 – July 7, 2017
My journey began on January 27, 1968 at Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC. I received my education through the D.C. Public school system. After graduation I worked a variety of jobs but my most fulfilling employment were with KFC, and the Marriott International. Because I could always spot a diamond in the rough I loved detailing cars. I could always bring out the beauty and work out what others saw as imperfections.
I accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Image of God Church in Christ. My spiritual transformation continued with the Bethel Christian Fellowship Church where I served as a member of the Security team and the Usher Board member.
Anyone who knew me learned a few things quickly; I enjoyed making folk laugh, I was always the life of the party, and I treasured spending time with my family. Cooking was a delight and the Philadelphia Eagles was my team! I will save a place for each of you in my heavenly "soul train line!"
Phillip was predeceased by his son, Antwan Phillip Baker. He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Earl and Penny Davis, daughter Shaniece Baker, son Jovahn Hamilton, four grandsons Amari, Antonio, Benjamin, Jayden, two granddaughters Shaniyah and Karmen.
