It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nakaya Shareese Dottin on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 41.
Nakaya known as "Nikki" was born on February 19, 1979 at Ft. Belvoir Army Base to Betty Dottin-Randall and the late Johnny J Tucker. She received her education in the PG County Public School System. After graduation she attended Strayer University majoring in Accounting.
Nakaya had several occupations during her life, starting in finance at M&T Bank, Department of Motor Vehicles and Eastern Motors. Shortly after she decided to pursue a career in Law Enforcement where she worked at Allied Barton/Universal and G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc.
Nakaya loved and cherished her mother and daughter, they were her entire world. Nakaya was a loving mother and loved spending time with her daughter Zoe. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her favorite pass time was shopping but her passion was cooking. She loved tasting good food from different cultures. Nakaya was a very outgoing and sociable person which made her loved by many. She was also very outspoken and loved to share her opinion. Her personality was contagious to everyone she met. She loved music, spending time with her family and friends and traveling, her dream trip was to go to Bali.
Nakaya loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh, her free spirited approach towards life and her beautiful smile that would warm your heart.
Nakaya leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted Mother, Betty Dottin-Randall; Stepfather, Derrick Randall; her loving Daughter Zoe Savoy; Life Friend, Dion Savoy; Grandmother, Erma C. Tucker; Brothers, Markton Cole, Johnny Nevels and Antoine Tucker; Aunt, Joan Weaver; Nephews, Beverton and Terrence Hinds; Godmother, Colleen Brathwaite; Enduring relationships with Sergeant White Jr, Carl Wilson, Sharon Norman, Curtissa Coleman and the Hawkins Family; Cousins, Tricia Hockin and Deborah Shore of London England,Natasha, Samantha, Sharon,Kim,Michael and Jonathan Hinds. Her closest and dearest friends Lenni Miller, Taneka Wright, Lauren Feggins and Karima Browm. Nakaya is also survived by many Great Aunts and a host of loving relatives and friends.
