On Thursday January 18,2024, our beloved Margaret Marie Brandon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Margaret was born on January 11,1939 to Doretha Jackson and Benjamin Samuels. Pre- deceased); Margaret was raised and educated in the DC public school system.

Margaret met and married the love of her life Curtis Leroy Brandon (pre-deceased), and to this union beautiful children were born.  Margaret had many different jobs, but her main job became a stay-at-home Mom, shaping her children to become amazing human beings.  "Our Mom was the strongest woman we've ever met".  "She wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce Mama Bear".

Margaret's nickname was Gold fingers and she had a habit of giving everyone nicknames, like Ladybird, Buttercup, Dirty Nerk, Chocolate and Pepe Le Pew to name a few, but the list goes on. Margaret was shelter for all that needed her and that generosity is how she showed us to be compassionate towards others.

Margaret enjoyed traveling, crocheting, cooking, dancing, listening to music and spending time with her abundance of grand and great grandchildren 34 in total.

Margaret leaves to cherish her loving memory three children; Tonya, Sean and Diane; twelve grandchildren; Bryanna, Madison, Earl, Tiffany, Derius, John James, Terria, Herbert, Larraine, Travis, Terrence, Essence and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

May the memory of Margaret, her laugh, her words, her smile, live on in our hearts forever.
