Lawrence Thomas Covington Jr. affectionately known as "Thomas" was born on August 12th, 1975 in Washington, D.C. Thomas attended Washington D.C Public Schools throughout his childhood and later received his GED. After earning his GED, Thomas began working for various trucking companies in the District. Thomas enjoyed attending annual family functions and spending time with his beloved family. His hobbies included cooking and listening to music. Being a District of Columbia native and "foodie", Thomas could tell you where all the "good eats" were in the DMV. Some of his favorite genre's of music were Southern Gospel music and The Blues . Thomas was a dedicated uncle, son, brother, nephew and friend. Thomas is preceded in death by his late godfather James Covington and his cousin Curtis Covington.

Thomas is survived by his devoted parents Nancy and Lawrence Covington of Landover, MD, his aunt Lyvon Covington, his only sibling Monique (Robert) Marshall of Clinton, MD and two nieces Robyn Marshall and Felicia Marshall. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends .

Thomas loved people and touched many lives with his caring and generous spirit. His love for life and witty personality will be greatly missed .
