Obituary

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, our beloved Jacqueline Patricia Bond a caring daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, Auntie, and friend made her transition from this life to live an eternal life with our heavenly father.  Jacqueline, affectionately known as Lil Jackie was born on July 5, 1970 in Southeast Washington DC. She was the first of two Children born to Laverne Bond Walls.

Growing up, Lil Jackie was educated in the DC Public School System.  She was a loving, smart, and inquisitive child always full of questions.  Lil Jackie would barely allow you to answer one question before asking 3 more.

Lil Jackie was a hard worker that contributed to various jobs such as Food Services, the Postal Service and Administrative work at a Law Firm.  But the most important job that Jackie truly enjoyed was becoming a mother to her beautiful daughter, Sharica A. Bond who was the light of her life.

Lil Jackie was very kindhearted and always willing to lend a helping hand, she loved to spend time with her friends and family, and she was always full of conversation. And we will never forget her famous quote "What you doin?" Lil Jackie enjoyed delicious food and trying new recipes.  She also had one of the best memories and could tell you anything you needed to know

Lil Jackie will truly be missed. She has left reminders of her love everywhere.  And may the memories of her love be cherished forever.

Lil Jackie is survived by her devoted mother Laverne Bond Walls, loving daughter Sharica Bond, grandchildren Daryle, SaMiya, DaMairee and DeaMonte and great grandchildren TaRiq and Ameir. Also, her three sisters Linda, Janice, and Lisa as well as her brother Zeek. Uncles Michael Bond, Gregory Long (Yvonne Dunn) and Lorenzo Brown. Great Aunts Mary Hedgman and Lenora Jones. Nephews Drew Ballard-Bey and Dajuan Davenport. A loyal friend Lisa Miller, and A host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Lil Jackie was preceded in death by her sister Kimberly Bond Ballard-Bey, brother, Reginald Colbert; Stepfather, Curtis Walls; uncles, Tyrone M. Bond and Vernon Bond, Grandmother, Clara E. Bond and Aunt, Jacqueline J. Brown

Lil Jackie was blessed with a large and loving family whom all loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends who have solace in knowing she is embraced and resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.  May the memory of Lil Jackie, her love, her laugh, her words, and her smile, live on in our hearts for many years to come.
