Earl Kenton Davis was born September 19, 1953 to Betty Thorpe. He was blessed to be raised by his grandparents, Sarah and Elijah Davis.

His early years were spent in Warrenton, NC. After graduating high school he moved to Washington, DC. He was employed by Skyline Inn Hotel for 30 years until his health forced him to retire. Earl took pleasure in driving family and friends where he eventually built a clientele (The Original UBER).

Earl accepted Christ as his personal savior at Image of God Church in Christ where he served on the elder board. In 2008 he became a member of Bethel Christian Fellowship where he served on transportation and security ministries.

Earl was predeceased in death by his grandparents, mother, brother Henry Davis, son Phillip Hobbs, and grandson Antwan. He lives to cherish his memories wife of 36 years, Harvetta Davis (Penny). sons Charles( Teresa) and Erik, three daughters Wanda, Tracy, and Nicole, Grandchildren Shaniece, Shiedah, Taneshia, Dimitri, Demarius, Gerard, Jovahn, Jordan, Jaylin and Tyrin, sisters Claudia Thorpe and Theolia Forman, two Aunts Gertrude Davis Bulter and Meredith Davis, one uncle James Davis (Helen), five sister-in-laws Yvonne, Vincsena, Carolyn,  Debbie (Sam), and Juanita (Giovanni), one brother -in-law  Vinson (Elaine), also great grandchildren, nieces,  nephews, Spiritual Family and Friends.
