Quietly and peacefully, on April 27, 2018 God called his servant Debra A. Herron home to take her rest.  Debra was born March 3, 1961 to the late Luther Valentine, and Bill and Louida McNeil.

Debra was educated in the public schools in the District of Columbia.  Debra worked various secretarial jobs until her retirement.

Debra enjoyed drawing, talking to her family and friends on the phone, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and going to church.  Debra also enjoyed attending and participating in activities with her Pineview friends when able.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Luther Valentine and step father, Bill McNeil.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her loving children, Wakeen Smith (Jaime) and Shaneice Estep; mother, Louida McNeil; brothers, Gregory Johnson (Janie), Billy (Renee), Luther Valentine, Jr.; grandchildren, Nazir, Ayana, Jamari and Jada; Aunts, Rosa(John), Elizabeth (William) and Mary Edwards; Uncles, Thomas Valentine and Richard Valentine (Beverly). A host of cousins, godchildren and plenty of friends will also cherish stories, laughs and love of Debra.
