IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cheryl T.
Valentine
July 18, 1969 – April 18, 2025
Quietly, on April 18th, 2025, Cheryl T. Valentine was called from this earthly life to her heavenly home with her loving mother, Vanessa, and stepfather, Elder Rolland Jones, by her side.
Cheryl T. Valentine was born on July 18th, 1969, in Washington, D.C., to Vanessa Jones and Tony Valentine. She attended H. Winship Wheatly Early Childhood Center in Prince George's County and later transitioned to Hillcrest Heights Community Center for Special Needs, where she graduated in 1992. Cheryl worked with the Special Needs Program at Melwood in Upper Marlboro, MD, for over thirty years.
Cheryl loved the Lord, and she attended church faithfully with her family, but she did not attend church without her tithes! You could not tell Cheryl she was not a fashionista! From Gloves to Dressing on Sunday mornings, it was truly her thing! Cheryl's favorite color was red, and she would highlight her pocketbook wherever she went. Cheryl had her very own playlist on YouTube. When she was younger, she loved anything Kirk Franklin made; you would find her singing along to Tasha Cobbs's "You Know My Name" and Hezekiah Walker's "Grateful," just to name a few. She did not travel physically but that did not stop Cheryl. Magazines were Cheryl's vehicle worldwide; She had a bookshelf full of magazines; she wanted a book every week. It did not matter if it was the same book. She had to have a magazine. Cheryl could tell you all about Patti LaBelle and her new mansion.
Cheryl was a beautiful daughter and loved everyone that knew her. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and kind heart. Cheryl was a strong and faithful young lady who loved the Lord.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond Lee, Benjamin Valentine, and Mary Valentine.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her loving memories; her mother, Vanessa Jones, stepfather Rolland Jones, Father Tony Valentine; three Siblings, Toni Valentine, Adrian Valentine, and Chrystal Valentine; six aunts, Glenda Lee, JoAnn-Lee Reed (Wayne), Lisa Lee, Carolyn Jones Sipple, Aletha Jones, and Valerie Davis; six uncles, Marty Lee, Raymond Lee, Reginald Lee Jones, Renwick Lee Jones, Martin Jones and Timothy Jones; grandmother, Marie Lee; great uncle Raymond Baylor; three great aunts, Jackie Lee, Loise Adams, and Gladys Baylor; and a host of cousins, caregiver and friends.
I came forth from the father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to my father. John 16:28-33
