Obituary

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Annie Mae Bagley peacefully slipped into eternal rest surrounded by members of her family.

She was born December 5, 1936 to the late Colon and Maggie Hayes.  She was raised in Saint Paul, NC where she attended Saint Pauls' East Side High School.

Ann met and fell in love with her soulmate Hubert "Jack" Bagley in May 1954 in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he was serving at Fort Bragg.  The love they had for one another was undeniable.  They married in Dillion, South Carolina on August 13, 1955, where they began a spiritually filled partnership that would last for over 56 years.

Ann worked in the hospitality industry for over nineteen years, initially as a housekeeper before becoming supervisor.  During that time, she received several accommodations and accolades.  She was the first and only employee in her department to receive a retirement farewell dinner.  She was well respected and loved.

Ann was a woman of conviction with a very strong Christian faith.  She was an active and proud member of Harvest Temple Church of God for over 40 years. She faithfully attended service and supported her church events in some capacities.  She was a dedicated member of the intercessory prayer team and served faithfully in both the kitchen and outreach ministry.  She consistently assisted with the preparation and distribution of meals to the community.  Her commitment to serving others was evident in her tireless efforts.

Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert "Jack" Bagley and her parents, Colon and Maggie Hayes.

Ann is survived by her children Hubert "Ronnie" Bagley Jr., (Tarita), Jackie Jackson (Dwight), Derrick Bagley (Tananya), stepson Craig Bagley, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
